How far is Kheer Ganga from Kasol?
The Kheerganga trek starts from Barshaini and you can do it from around 11 am in the morning. You can easily reach Bhuntar via bus from New Delhi.The Kheerganga trek is considered an easy trek which will take around 3-4 hours for reaching at the top.Kheerganga trek can also be a day hike where you can do the trek and come back the same day.There are hot springs on the way and you can eat lunch on the top and come back down.The time taken to climb to the Kheerganga top from Barshaini will be 4 hours and you can come down in half the time to Barshaini.Then from there you can take a bus for Bhuntar and reach Kasol for night stay.

Barshaini is the starting point of the Kheerganga trek which is one of the most visited treks in the Parvati Valley region.Kheerganga offers a trek with magnificient views. You can reach Bhuntar from Delhi via Volvo buses plying from Delhi like Majnu ka Tila and Kashmere Gate ISBT. From Bhuntar you will get buses for Barshaini and Kasol.Kasol is one of the best camping sites near the Parvati river and has a lot of camping sites with river view nested in the mountains of the Parvati Valley.
How do I get to Kheerganga?
Kheerganga can be reached from various routes one being via the Barshaini village which is one of the starting points of the trek .The trek will pass through thing forest land and streams which will give you an experience like never before.One of the most beautiful treks in the Parvati valley region ,Kheerganga has a lot to offer.There are small eateries and hotels at the top which can provide you with all the basic amenities and shelter for the night .There are small shops selling basic items which can be used during your stay.The stay options are basic with non -attached washrooms and dining halls.
Is Kheerganga trek difficult?
The Kheerganga trek is medium in difficulty as it would be a little tricky when you do through the Kalga Village route.The Nakthan route is the easier route which is taken by most of the trekkers.Some of the trails will be the narrow and pass over the rivers and we donot suggest to take any shortcuts which can be dangerous and sometimes it can be fatal also. The Kheerganga trek passes through some of the most beautiful meadows and also through some steep slopes.
What is Kheerganga height in feet?
Kheerganga has three routes going to the summit.The first route which is the most frequented route is beautiful and also easy in nature which will take around 4-5 hours depending on the fitness of the individual. The route passes through the Nakthan village and then goes to the summit.The second route which is a densely forested route is a little difficult and there is a chance of getting lost in the woods.This route passes the village Kalga and meets the first route in the middle.The third route goes through the Tosh village which is considered steep and will take stamina to reach to the top.
What will be the average Kheerganga temperature?
Kheerganga temperature is pleasant during the summers which ranges from April to June.The monsoons Kheerganga receives rainfall with lush green meadows and the Ganges overflowing.During January to March,Kheerganga receives snowfall and mainly closed for trekking and camping activities which is because of the safety reasons.The months of October to December as perfect times to climb as the weather will be cold during the night.The temperature dips during winters.
Where is the reporting point in Kasol exactly?
You need to report at River Site Camping (this is around 1 km before Kasol town if you are coming from Bhuntar).
How to reach to reporting location from Bhuntar or Kasol bus stand?
From Bhuntar either you can take a taxi or can take a Bus and needs to drop down just 1 km before kasol town. One can see a Board of River Site Camping on the Road only and can also see the camp site from the Road and its on the left hand side if one is coming from Bhuntar. From Kasol one can either just walk or can take a cab and cab should charge around 100 INR max.
Will parking space be available?
Since its just near the Road and there are lot of space besides Road where one can park their vehicle. The campsite is a little downhill and there is no way one can bring their vehicle but there is lot of place to park their vehicle besides the road.
What is the toilet facility? In camp as well as during trekking?
In the campsite there are swiss tents as well as Dome tents . In Swiss tents there are attach Western style toilets and for Dome tents there are common toilets. During trekking there is a facility of Concrete toilette but in Indian style.
What will be accommodation style? Twin sharing / Triple sharing?
In the campsite 4 people can stay in a Luxury tent and triple or double sharing on Dome tents.
Luggage room available?
Yes we do have a space for Luggage room but in case there are some precious items then we can make arrangements on chargeable basis.
Freshening up facility available before trek starts?
Yes freshening facility is available without any charge.
What group discount is available?
100 Rupees discount for more than 8 people.
If we are traveling by tempo traveler then what will be driver's arrangement?
We can provide driver arrangement in one of the dome tent.
Age restrictions for kids? And if any price reduction for kids?
There is as such no restriction for the kids and less than 6 years old are free ,6-10 years 50% and above 10 same as adult.
