Detailed Itinerary

Listed below are the places which will be covered!

Drakund or Dainkund- As local stories narrate, it was basically inhabited by a witched who troubled the villagers. Which is why the place is named after it, Dainkund or a "Witch's Pond". It is one of the most alluring places in Dalhousie. The distance of trek from Dainkund to Jot would be approximately 3000m in about 6-7 hours. When the day is clear three amongst the five Punjab rivers are visible that reflect the rays of the sun and lose themselves in the planes. Beyond the rivers Satluj, Beas, Ravi, and Chenab the infinite space seems to melt away. Triking to Dainkund would be lush green and the path easy to hike.

Chowari Jot pass- It is located in the midst of Chowari and Chamba and touches almost 8000 ft in height. Chowari Jot provides with the beauty of Kainthli Dhar that is full of kail trees and decoder and snows heavily with a pleasant season during winter.

Khajjiar- Also known as India's Switzerland is an exquisite glade of Khajjiar (1960 m) and has about 5 km circumference. Along with its fringes, thick forests of deodar climb down the slopes rests the snow-line above these woods. A temple of the 12th century is dedicated to Khajji Nag where lies a life-size wooden impression of the five Pandava brothers.

Kalatop- This sanctuary is spread over about 30.69 km² in the Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, India. The area is well laid out and great for trekking trails both at Khajjiar and Kalatop. Kalatop has a dense deodar and a fir forest that covers 19.63 km² of the sanctuary and is about 6 km from Dalhousie. The most common animals found are the Pheasants, black bear and serow and the sanctuary lie in the path of the Ravi River that is surrounded by oak and coniferous forests.
