Day 01: Arrival at Sankri
The Kedarkantha Trek commences from Dehradun city. The trekkers for the trip should reach Dehradun on the day before the trip starts on or before 6am of the commencing date. The trekkers will be received by the authorized personnel from Dehradun at 6:30am for an onward journey to Sankri.
Sankri is located at a distance of 220 km on the National Highway 123. Itâ€™s a long scenic drive on an SUV providing absolute comfort to the trekkers so that they can enjoy the beauty of the journey.
The journey is a long one and takes about evening to reach the destination. Trekkers can enjoy their lunch break at the popular eateries. On your journey you will travel through Govind National Park which is famous for its wide collection of flora typical of this region.
The expected time to reach Sankri is around 5 pm. Upon reaching the destination, you can check in to the prior booked hotel and our representative can help with the check in formalities. Since the evening is free for leisure, you can enjoy indoors and relax or can go out to explore the gorgeous Sankri village. The network is quite erratic here so getting a connection here can be a little difficult. You can then have dinner at the hotel premises or can go to the dhabas to get a taste of local flavors. Then you can come back and spend the night in the hotel.
Day 2: Sankri to Juda-ka-Talab
The trekking trip initiates from Sankri. After an encouraging start early in the day, it's an excursion straight towards Juda Ka Talab which is based at a height of 9100 feet. It's a 4km trekking venture and the expected time for achieving the same is around 5 hours.
