It is also home to some of tribal groups such as Irula, Toda and Badaga.

Sengottaraayar Malai Trek Detailed Itinerary

It's 3 days trip from Bangalore to Segotaraayar Peak in the month of July and the package includes accommodation and meals.

Itinerary

Day 01: - There are 3 pickup points,

08:00PM: - Pick-up at Organizer office, Indiranagar

08:15PM: - Pick-up at New Shanthi Sagar Hotel, Domlur

08:30PM: - Pick-up at Lifestyle, Magrath Road (Near Garuda Mall)

Day 02: - By 08:00am, reach hotel and freshen up. By around 10am, the trek will start and upon reaching the park, enjoy the magnificent naturality and also witness some of exotic wild animals. By around 03:00pm trek back to base camp and have lunch. By 08:00pm bonfire will be organized and dinner will be served. Overnight stay!

Day 03: - By 07:00am freshen up and have breakfast. Directly to Bangalore. On the way stop from Self sponsored lunch.

Sengottaraayar Malai Trek Inclusions

  • Non AC vehicle for transportation.
  • Accommodation in dormitories at camp site.
  • First Aid Kit
  • Basic Veg food (2 breakfasts, 1 lunch and 1 dinner)
  • Permission for trekking from Forest Department.
  • Guides and coordinators for help in trek.

  • Things to carry for SENGOTTARAAYAR MALAI, COONOOR OOTY
  • A strong Back-Pack (Water proof preferred).
  • 2 litres water bottle (enough to carry at least 2 litres of water).
  • A water-proof jacket/sweater (if it begins to rain).
  • Bandanna (keeps the sweat out of the eyes) and/or Wide brimmed hat.
  • Toiletries.
  • Few old news-papers.
  • A torch
  • Some strong adhesive tape and/or A small role of strong string.
  • A small pocket knife (Swiss Army Knife? – Awesome!!).
  • One matchbox/ lighter.
  • Some tissue/toilet paper.

  • First Aid and medicine tablets for common cold and dysentery.
