Nag Tibba Trek From Delhi BRIEF ITINERARY:
Day 1: Trek to camp 1
Pick up at 6:30 a.m. in dehradun and reach Pantwari village at 12:00 noon. Travel by road - 5-6hrs.
Lunch at Pantwari village.
Start trek by 2:30 p.m., reach camp site by 5:30 p.m.
There are 2-3 water points on the way.
Stay in tent at the camping site.
Day 2: Camp to Nag Tibba top and return to dehradun.
Start trek at 5:30 a.m. after early breakfast.
Reach Nag Tibba top in 3 hrs.
Stay for half an hour.
Return to camp 1 for lunch at 12 noon.
Return to Pantwari village by 3:00 p.m.
Reach dehradun by 8:30 p.m.
Nag Tibba Trek From Delhi DETAILED ITINERARY:
Nag Tibba Trek From Delhi Day 1: Dehradun to Pantwari village and trek to camp 1.
On a fresh morning our driver will come and pick up you at Dehradun railway station around 7 a.m. With lot of curiosities our drive to Pantwari village starts here. The road passes through Mussoorie-the queen of hills, kempty falls and Nainbagh from where we turn on to Nag Tibba road. Your heart gets mesmerized by the view of serene-flowing Yamuna on the side. We will stop for a light breakfast on the way. The four hours journey ends at Pantwari village by 12 noon. After a lunch and some rest we will head off to trek to Nag Tibba base camp. The place where we start our trek can be reached by car. The hike begins at well defined path to a rocky terrain. You can fill your water bottles at 2-3 water points found on the way. The trek counts three landmark, one of which comes after 30 minutes of trail is the cluster of thatched roof huts. It is a small village on a cliff which exhibits green and yellow belt of vegetation during harvest seasons. The second landmark which you come across is â€˜Goat Villageâ€™. This village has beautifully built resorts, a rest space for travellers. As you go beyond the â€˜Goat villageâ€™ you will be welcomed by the oak and rhododendronâ€™s grove. The third landmark is a farmland with an isolated hut from where â€˜Nag Tibbaâ€™ base camp can be reached in 5 minutes. The campsite has tents to stay in. Complete privacy is assured during your stay. Be ready to embrace the glorious smoky clouds and the massive mountain ranges at the campsite.
Nag Tibba Trek From Delhi Day 2: Camp 1 to Nag Tibba top and return to Pantwari village and drive to Dehradun.
Day 2 starts early at 5:00 a.m. after breakfast. We start hiking to the top through a gentle terrain. The trail is through a thick forest cover which will be covered by snow during winter. Within 20-30 minutes from the camp you will reach two open patches of land. The peaks of Garhwal Himalayas become clearly visible as we pass through the Nag Tibba temple during this trial. The trek continues into a forest on a steep incline. As we come close to the top the trial will turn through a ridge and finally to the Nag Tibba summit. You will feel delighted to see the views of ice capped ranges of Himalayas such as Bandarpoonch, Gangotri, kedarnath, Kala Nag and more.
We shall descend from here to the base camp either through the same trial or through Devalsari village. Lunch will be at the camp. Pantwari village will be reached after 4-5 hours drive and from there our journey ends at Dehradun.
