The best time for the Kheerganga trek will be from the months of mid-March to November. The other months also offer beautiful views of the mighty Himalayas. The Kheerganga is closed during the winter when there will be heavy snow. The heavy snow cover disallows the Forest Department to allow trekkers which can be quite unsafe for trekking and camping purposes. The monsoons which occur during the period of May to July is also a time when there will be less trekkers due to fear of landslides.
