Karnala was the capital of the north Konkan districts under the rule of the Devagiri ,Yadavs and the Tughluqs. The fort is famous for its thumb-shaped pinnacle and the bird sanctuary that is setup in the forest below. Karnala fort consists of two forts one at a higher level and other lower. At the centre of the higher level is a 125 feet high basalt pillar. It is also called Pandu’s tower.

07.30 am: Reach Panvel station
07.40 am: Breakfast will be served.
08.15 am: We start towards Karnala by local transport.
09.15 am: After reaching Karnala base we will start trekking at around 9.30am.
09.30 am: After introduction and briefing, start the trek
12.00 pm: After reaching the top we will enjoy the view of the Western Ghats and explore the fort.
01:00 pm: We will start the descent towards the base village.
04:00 pm:It’s the time to bid farewell and start our journey towards Mumbai till we meet again.
