Kalsubai is the highest peak of the Sahyadris.Kalsubai, according to local legend, was the name of a tormented daughter-in-law who ran away to the top of a hill to escape harassment from her in-laws. She is believed to have disappeared here and the locals built a temple in her memory on the peak’s summit. The hill is named Kalsubai after her.

Kalsubai Peak is the highest peak in Maharashtra (1646 meters). ... It takes 3 hours to reach Kalsubaisummit from Bari Village. The trek will consists of trekking to the top of the Kalsubai with trained climbing professionals. Reach the base village for Kalsubai trek from Kasara. Enjoy camping, stargazing, bonfire. 

Day 1:

Reach Kasara in the evening and stay in camp/homestay for the night. Have dinner

2nd day

Start trek in the morning. Reach Kalsubai peak. Complete Kalsubai trek and come back to base village by noon. have lunch and start your return journey to Mumbai or Pune
