About Pin Parvati Pass trek

Pin Parvati trek is one of the most beautiful treks in Himachal Pradesh. This pass links Parvati Valley in Kullu with Pin Valley of Spiti. Hence it derives the name Pin Parvati Pass. There is no other trek in all over the Western Himalayan region, which can match the grandeur of Pin Parvati Trek. This is a very difficult trek owing to its high in altitude and remains under snowfall for most of the year, but also because it involves very long journey beyond habitation.

Day 01: Reporting Manikaran.(1700m) Reporting – Acclimatization – Orientation & Briefing of the trek – Trek Preparation & shopping
Day 02: Trek from Manikaran/ Barshani(2100m) to Khirganga(2960m/8960ft; 6 hrs) (approx. 9kms)
Day 03: Khirganga – Tundabhuj(3200m/9696 ft; 6 to 7 hrs)Approx 16-17 kms
Day 04: Tundabhuj – Pandu Pul (3600 m/ 1100ft ; 8 – 9hrs)Approx 18 – 19 kms
Day 05: Pandupul – Chota mantlai (3800 m/ 1100ft ; 8 – 9hrs)Approx 14 – 15 kms
Day 06: Chota mantlai-Mantlai(4200 m/ 1100ft ; 4 – 5hrs)Approx 9 – 10 kms
Day 07: Mantlai – Base of Pin Parvati Pass (4800 m/ 1100ft ; 8 – 9hrs)Approx 10 – 11 kms
Day 08: Base of Pin Parvati Pass – – Pin Parvati Pass(5300m)- Pin Valley Camp (4810 m/ 1100ft ; 9- 10hrs) Approx 23 – 24 kms
Day 09: Pin Valley Camp – Tia(Cheen Patt) (3900 m/ 1100ft ; 8 – 9hrs) Approx 14 – 15 kms
Day 10: Tia(Cheen Patt) – Mud (3600 m/ 1100ft ; 8 – 9hrs)Approx 14 – 15 kms
Day 11: Mud –Sagnam(3500m) – Kaza (3300 m/ 1100ft ; 8 – 9hrs) Approx 14 – 15 kms
Day 12: Kaza – Manali: Drive from Kaza to Manali over the Kunzum La (4550 Mts. Rohtang Pass(13052 m))and. Night in Manali.

Inclusions

  • Local transport during trek 
  • Basic Mountaineering Course qualified Guide, Local Guide who has extensive knowledge of the route
  • Vegetarian meals on the trek (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner), Cooks/Helper and other requisite staff
  • Porters/mules for carrying common equipment (like rations/tents/utensils/), Equipment – Tents on sharing basis / Sleeping bags / Sleeping Mats 
  • Sleeping mattress and sleeping bag (We would prefer that one should carry his/her own sleeping bag due to hygiene issues, if one has)
  • Any equipment required (Ropes, Carabiners, and Ice Axe etc.), all permit fee 
  • Basic First aid Kit and Oxygen Cylinder
  • Forest Permits and camping charges

Exclusions

  • Personal Porters for carrying backpacks of trekkers
  • Personal insurance or cost of emergency evacuation
  • Purchases of personal natures (like mineral water bottles/bottled or canned beverages/chocolates/dry fruits etc)
  • Food to/from the trail head.
  • Personal trekking equipments – like trekking poles or sleeping bag liners

hey i"m planning to go in may2017 2nd week. is it okay to go during that time? usually people go during june, july and august.
