The Lamayaru to Chilling trek is a trek of moderate difficulty that lets you indulge in the local culture of the Leh-Ladakh region as well as seek spiritual enlightenment through the various Gompas and Stupas that you stop by on the way, all this whilst being in the lap of nature. The trek is not just full of scenic beauty that is a treat for the eyes but also awe- inspiring experiences of walking through snow- laden paths, crossing rivers and villages. The view of the Stok and Karakoram ranges accompanies you on the trek along with some rare flora and fauna. The highlight though, is the famous Hemis monastery that comes on the way.
Trekking- the main activity is trekking where youâ€™ll be around nature and walk through snow covered paths, surrounded by mountains.
Sightseeing- some beautiful Gompas and Stupas come on the way that are a must to stop by and witness. Also, the scene beauty is one to behold.

Start off for Lamayaru via car on a 3 hour long road journey.
Begin your trek from Lamayaru by visiting the Lamayaru Monastary.
Reach Wanla through the 1 hour long trek.
Begin your trek from Wanla to Hinju. Itâ€™s a 5 hour trek through pleasing views and full of scenic beauty.
Stay overnight at Hinju and relax amidst the view of the barley fields there.
Leave Hinju for a 6 hour long trek to Kongskil La.
Views of Stok and Karakoram rangs accompany you.
Set the overnight camp at Sumda Doska (altitude: 4,430m)
Begin your trek for Dung Dung Chan La Base. Itâ€™s a 5 hour long trek.
En route, stop by village Sumdo Chenmo to relax and indulge in village life.
Reach Dung Dung Chan La Base and set up the camp for overnight stay.
Start your day with breakfast at he camp.
Go to the Dung Dung Chan La Pass and enjoy the picturesque view there.
After a small ascent, youâ€™ll be on your way down to Chilling
Reach Chilling and from there, drive off to Leh
