Antaragange which is a part of the Shathashrunga mountain range meaning ‘Ganges from the depths’. The place is the Kashi of the South and has an ancient Kashi Vishwanatha temple on the hillock. There is a continuous flow of water from the mouth of a stone bull into a pond in the temple premises. The volcanic rocks and caves along this trek offer exploration opportunities for the enthusiast.
Anthargange is a unique little place in Karnataka, near Bangalore owing to the fact that it is peppered with a lot of caves, and has about 5 to 7 villages with fresh water. It is situated at about 1226 Meters (4021ft.) high in Kolar district around Bangalore. Anthargange night trip is perfect for trekking and night cave exploration. The trek takes about 1 hour from the bottom and it is a perfect gateway for those who love exploring caves along with some adventure and for some amateurs who have just started trekking .It is an one night trek wherein we reach there by 12 midnight and back to Bangalore by 8.30 pm and all the things are being handled professionally and by experts with adequate safety.
Day 01 (Friday Night ):Leave from Bangalore at around 9:30PM. Reach the base of Antharagange by 12:00
Day 02 (Saturday) : Start the trekking till we reach the caves. Reach the caves at around 01:00AM. Start exploring the caves. Come out of caves and reach the hill top by 03:00AM. Settle down, enjoy campfire and sleep. Leave from Anthargange at around 06:30AM for the restaurant to freshen up and have breakfast. Leave for Bangalore by 09:30AM.
