Itinerary:

Day 01: Rishikesh - Uttarkashi (1150 meter; 155 km/5-6hrs)

Early morning drive to Uttarkashi. Uttarkashi is the base of many trekking and Mountaineering expedition in Gangotri Valley. The scenic beauty will let you forget the fatigue of journey. Will reach Hotel by evening. Overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 02: Uttarkashi- Gangotri (3048m -3/4hrs)

Today we drive from Uttarkashi to Gangotri. This is also the road head for trekking to Gangotri valley. Visit the temple of Goddess Ganges. Overnight stay in hotel. The Actual source of Ganges is Gaumukh Glacier which is 19 km from Gangotri. At Gangotri, there is a temple dedicated to the Goddes Ganga.

Day 03: Gangotri - Bhojwasa (3800m/5-6hrs)

Begin with an easy climb, the route providing magnificent scenery with every step to Chirbasa (3600m).  Continue through pine forest to the Bhojwasa.  It’s a wonderful sight as you see the glaciated boulders and the Bhagirathi peaks towering over the Gaumukh springs. Overnight stay in the tent.

Day 04: Bhojwasa – Gaumukh-Tapovan (4400m/5-6hrs)

From Bhujbasa we trek towards Gaumukh (3890m) we turn towards Nandavan on the glacier. Crevasses mark this trail from where we make a steep ascent from where the trail levels out to Nandavan, also the base of climbing the Bhagirathi mountains. Continue on to Tapovan (4500m), a most awesome sight with the huge plateau being surrounded by Shivling and the Bhagirathi peaks. Overnight stay in the tent.

Day 05: Rest Day

Free to acclimatize, relax and enjoy the magnificent snowcapped peaks, flora & Fauna and mountain landscape. Dinner and overnight stay in the tent.

Day 06: Tapovan – Chirwasa (3600m/5-6hrs)

Descend towards Chirwasa via Bhojwasa. Chirwasa is a beautiful camping place surrounded by Chir (pine) trees. Set up camp and overnight stay.

Day 07: Chirwasa – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (4-5hrs)

Descend down towards Gangotri the road head and drive to the Uttarkashi. Overnight Stay in a hotel.

Day 08: Uttarkashi – Rishikesh (155km/5-6hrs)

Return drive to Rishikesh. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight stay in a hotel.

Our clients have equated our treks with moving feasts. Five to six different dishes are presented at any one meal. We want you to remain healthy while you savour our food. Camping Style:

We provide client tent on twin sharing bases,a dining tent with dining table and sitting stool,and toilet tent as well.

Day start with Morning bed tea then camp staff will provide hot washing water and then Breakfast. Normally we provide packed lunch,tea on camp arrival soup ,dinner and evening tea.

  • All travel from Rishikesh and back to Rishikesh by road (by non ac car)
  • All arrangements for overnight stay while on the trip
  • Accommodation on twin share basis in tents / rest houses / hotels
  • All meals, tea/coffee and snacks from Breakfast day 1 to Breakfast day 8
  • Professional guide fees, permit fees, sanctuary fee / royalty where applicable
  • All trekking arrangements with India’s most experienced guiding team, camp staff, cook etc.
  • Includes 3.5% of Service tax & 0.125% Clean India Cess

 

Cost excludes:

  • Railway station / airport transfers in Rishikesh
  • Any stay and meals in Rishikesh
  • Sleeping bag, items of personal clothing etc (Bring own sleeping bag for hygiene issue/borrow from locals)
  • Expenses of a personal nature such as laundry, phone calls, alcohol, cigarettes, insurance
  • Camera fees and any costs arising out of unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather, landslides, road conditions and any other circumstances beyond our control.
