Sita River Rafting Agumbe Highlights 

10 km rafting stretch which takes around 2 hours

Type of rafting lengths:

Rafting 1: Flycatcher" is the 16km rafting run

Rafting 2: "Draco" is the 10km rafting

Rafting 3: "Cobra” is the 26km rafting

Rafting 4: "King Cobra” is the 34km rafting

Type of Rafts used: Highest quality made by Hyside or Gumotex ,the official brand used for Europe based rafting expeditions

Raft Capacity: 6 people / 8 people

Safety: High trained rafting professionals will guide the raft and each participant will be given personal floatation devices.

Staying options: Dormitory or tents are available with facilities like shower and toilet.The experience of staying in the nature camp located in the Someshwara wildlife sanctuary during the monsoons is exhilarating.

 Important Facts to note:

 1.Participants with body weight over 120 kilos will not be allowed

2.Minimum age Limit is 10 years old

3.Non-swimmers are allowed as everyone will have their own life jackets

4.Participants with the following medical conditions are not allowed: Heart disease, pregnancy and poor physical conditions

What to wear for the rafting trip?

 Polyester or other synthetic fiber materials which stay warm while wet and shorts or tshirt with good shoes and secured footwear.

How to reach the spot:

  • From Bangalore to Sitanadi Nature camp : From Bangalore City to Shimoga: 23:00 Hrs Departure by Bangalore. 04:50 Hrs Arrival at Shimoga Railway Station.
  • From Shimoga to Bangalore City: 22:00 Hrs Departure by Shimoga Town-Bangalore Express to Bangalore.
  •  From Shimoga Sitanadi Nature camp is around 2 to 3Hrs of Road Travel for which cabs can be organized and the cost will be beared by participants at actuals.

Via Road:

To Sitanadi Nature camp, Hebri: 

  • Bangalore(NH-4) >> Tumkur(NH-206) >> Tiptur(NH-206) >> Kadur(NH-206) >> Tarikere(NH-206) >> Bhadravati(take Bye-pass to left (NH-06) >> Shimoga >> Take Shimoga-Mangalore Highway to Thirthahalli >> Agumbe(Take a right to Hebri) >> Once you descend the Agumbe Ghats proceed Straight towards Hebri through Someshwara.
  • KSRTC Rajahamsa >> Bangalore to Agumbe (22:00 Departure—06:15 arrival).
  • Agumbe to Bangalore (20:00 Departure—05:00 arrival)
  • From Agumbe take any private mini bus (every 10-15minutes from 6:00 am till 8:00 pm) passing via Hebri and mention Sitanadi.
  • Durgamba or Rajahamsa >> Bangalore to Hebri (return as well). They run A/c Sleeper & Deluxe buses daily.

Important points to note:

The Karnataka Forest Department charges a vehicle entry fee, which is not included in our prices stated above.

Rafting launch times can only be confirmed the day prior to your stay.

Non-Veg options will be served on request only and at actual cost.

Please do not expect luxury as it is adventure activity-based camp.
